Don’t miss this moment from IPL 2024 as Virat Kohli sends Shahrukh Khan packing with a playful flying kiss. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) were on song in Match 52 against Gujarat Titans (GT) on Saturday. RCB won the toss and opted to bowl first. Their decision to bowl proved to be a better one as they were all over GT batters. Their bowlers struck early and GT had lost their top four batters within the powerplay. For GT, Shahrukh Khan looked in great touch as he kept the scoreboard in check. He was aiming for a bigger score and Virat Kohli intervened to cede his innings.
The star India batter showed his quick reflexes and caught Shahrukh short of his crease at the non-striker’s end. Spectators cheered loudly as Virat gave a flying kiss send-off to the young batter.
Swapnil Singh started with a neat opening over for RCB after they chose to field first.
However, it was the pacers who made the most impact. Mohammed Siraj bowled with a good rhythm, dismissing both GT openers. Cameron Green then took the wicket of the in-form Sai Sudharsan with a short ball. As a result, the visitors had their lowest powerplay total of the season.

Glad we could restrict them to 150-odd, our bowling coach told to hit the right areas: Vyshak
Shahrukh Khan and David Miller then built a fifty partnership by counterattacking. Karn dropped Miller when he was on 23. Miller then hit a six in the following over, but Karn had the last laugh when he induced a mishit from the big-hitter, breaking the 61-run partnership. Shahrukh followed him in the very next over due to a case of suicidal running. Rahul Tewatia hit a few boundaries, but RCB took advantage of the two-paced pitch and reduced GT to a mere 147. After the conclusion of the first innings, RCB’s Vujaykumar Vyshak revealed the gamplan of the team against GT.

“Quite happy as the team has done well. Glad that we could restrict them to 150-odd. Our bowling coach told be to hit the right areas, we executed our plans. We tried hard with the bouncers, happy that I got a couple of wickets. I have been working hard with the fielding coach, that is helping me. Taking one game at a time. It’s a bit swollen, my both hands are swollen but I am okay. Pretty sure that we will get that total,” said Vijaykumar Vyshak after the first innings.
