Discover Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill sharing a moment at RCB vs GT in IPL 2024 is set for the first time meet each other at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Ahead of the match between GT and RCB, the duo was set to have a practice session. Before they went on to hit the net session, Virat met Gill in the dressing room. The official handle of Gujarat Titans posted the video of Virat meeting Shubman.
The fans have started sharing the video, stating that the ‘King’ met ‘Prince’. While the RCB batter is usually referred to as the King of modern-day cricket, Gill is referred to as Prince, who seems to be the next cricketer to rule the sport. In the video posted on X, the two shared a wholesome moment together. It seemed like Virat was waiting to meet Gill.

As the star batter saw Gill, he greeted him by shaking hands. With a smiling face, Virat jokingly said to Gill he had come too early to practice. “Bade jaldi aaya practice karne,” Virat can be seen saying Gill in the video. The duo then hit the nets to practice ahead of the match between GT and RCB, which is very important for both sides. It is a must-win game for both RCB and GT.
RCB and GT’s previous meet in Bengaluru
The last time these two sides met at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, GT knocked RCB out of the tournament in 2023. It was a must-win game for RCB and they posted 197 runs on the board. Virat was brilliant in the middle as he scored an unbeaten 101*(61) which included 13 fours and a six. Noor Ahmad starred with the ball for GT as he claimed two wickets.
Chasing the target, GT lost the wicket of Wriddhiman Saha early. However, a great partnership for the second wicket between Vijay Shankar and Shubman Gill took them home. The youngster starred with the bat as he smashed an unbeaten 104*(52), which included five fours and 8 sixes. His knock helped GT to beat RCB by six wickets with five balls to spare.
