The Arun Jaitley Stadium has been the home ground for the Delhi-based franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Earlier known as Feroz Shah Kotla, it has served as Delhi’s home ground since the IPL’s inception in 2008. Established in 1883, The stadium boasts a batting-friendly pitch with short boundaries that allow batsmen to score freely.

Initially, it supports bowlers with swing and bounce. However, as the match progresses, the pitch favours batters to score. Spinners also come into play when the pitch is dry. Lasith Malinga’s memorable spell of 5/13 in 2011 stands out. Notably, current Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Rishabh Pant smashed an unbeaten century (128) against Sunrisers Hyderabad, which remains the joint-highest individual IPL score at this venue.
