After a disappointing defeat victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals (DC) will host Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 40th game of the tournament on Wednesday, April 24, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Both franchises have had similar campaigns so far, witnessing mixed results in the IPL 2024 (Indian Premier League). While the hosts are placed in the eighth position in the points table, the visitors are placed sixth. Both the teams will be looking to better their position in the points table and a cracking game is expected.
The Delhi-based franchise is coming into the game on the back of a loss. They had a poor start in the season, losing their first two games before picking up from their third game. But they have so far won only three out of their eight games. In their last game in Delhi, the home side was outplayed by SRH, losing by 67 runs.
On the other hand, the Titans are coming off a narrow win over the Punjab Kings in their last match. The 2022 champions also have so far had a below-average season, winning four out of their eight games. With a win in their last game, the Shubman Gill-led side will be confident enough to pull another victory over the struggling Rishabh Pant-led side.
