The Gujarat Titans, after a rollercoaster ride in the IPL 2024, find themselves in a do-or-die situation as they prepare to take on the formidable Kolkata Knight Riders in their final league match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With a spot in the playoffs hanging in the balance, the Titans are leaving no stone unturned in their preparations for this crucial encounter.

The Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, have already secured their place in the playoffs and are sitting comfortably at the top of the points table. With a string of impressive performances under their belt, KKR is determined to maintain their winning streak and carry the momentum into the knockout stages of the tournament.

In their previous match which was against the Mumbai Indians, KKR displayed a dominant performance, thanks to the heroics of Venkatesh Iyer, Nitish Rana, and Ramandeep Singh. KKR’s bowlers led by Varun Chakravarthy with support from Harshit Rana and Andre Russell denied Mumbai Indians the chase of 158 in 16 overs.

On the other hand, the Gujarat Titans have had a mixed bag of results in the tournament so far. After suffering consecutive defeats against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, they bounced back with a stunning comeback against the Chennai Super Kings. The Titans’ opening pair of Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan played sensational innings, both scoring centuries to set up a formidable total. Despite a valiant effort from CSK’s Moeen Ali and Daryl Mitchell, the Titans emerged victorious.
