IPL 2024: British artist Andy Brown brings CSK vs RCB at Chepauk on his canvas

The stage was set for an opening game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season as the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) hosted the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the iconic Chepauk Stadium. British painter Andy Brown, known for his exquisite live paintings of sports events worldwide, graced the opening match with his brush and canvas and brought the scene live on his canvas.

Having traveled across 20+ countries, and painted at over 150 stadiums, Brown has carved a niche for himself as a master storyteller through his vibrant artworks. The painter was recently seen painting during the India vs England Test showing his talent to the whole world. He also drew the painting of Indian head coach Rahul Dravid during the same series. The painter was also seen giving one of his masterpieces to England’s wicketkeeper Johny Bairstow.

CSK defeated RCB in the opening game of IPL 2024

Following the opening match of IPL, Brown took to his official social media account to share his masterpiece with the world. “I have painted sporting events in over 150 stadiums in 20-plus countries. Talking about the match, RCB posted a total of 173/6, propelled by Anuj Rawat’s blistering 48 off 25 balls and Dinesh Karthik’s thunderous 38 off 26. In response, CSK’s chase was led by Rachin Ravindra’s explosive 37 off 15 and Shivam Dube’s unbeaten 34 off 28, guiding the home team to a thrilling six-wicket victory with eight balls to spare. Mustafizur Rahman’s impressive figures of 4/29 earned him the Player of the Match award.

CSK has started their campaign with a bang and will face Gujarat Titans in their next game. The Faf du Plessis-led side will look to rectify their mistakes and come back strong in their next fixture against Punjab Kings.
