Star Sri Lanka wrist spinner Wanindu Hasaranga was surprisingly sold for his base price of INR 1.50 Crore to Sunrisers Hyderabad during the IPL 2024 mini-auction on Tuesday, December 19 at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. The 26-year-old was part of the second set in the auction but surprisingly no franchise showed interest in acquiring his services. However, SRH showed a willingness to buy the mystery spinner and got him at a steal deal for just INR 1.50 crore.
Notably, Hasaranga is one of the most sought-after T20I bowlers in the world having performed exceptionally across tournaments all over the world.
