IPL 2023: Trent Boult takes catch off his own bowling to dismiss Wriddhiman Saha in comedy of errors moment in GT vs RR clash

In the ongoing IPL 2023 match between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals, an interesting incident happened on his third delivery of the Titans’ batting. The flamboyant opener, Wriddhiman Saha, while facing the gun bowler, Trent Boult, tried to whip a fullish delivery pitched between the middle and leg stump line towards the square leg. However, Saha ended up playing the ball a touch early and skied it up straight over the pitch area.

Meanwhile, Hetmyer, Jurel, and the skipper Sanju Samson as fielders charged ahead to attempt the catch and almost ended up collapsing into each other. Hilariously enough, a great sense of awareness from the bowler in Boult itself meant that the bowler kept his cool and completed the fumbled catch.
