Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will take the stage alongside Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 65th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Thursday, May 18 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. SRH have been quite dismal with their outings and have managed just four wins out of 12 games played thus far. RCB, on the other hand, have done a decent job in the T20 carnival and currently stand fifth on the IPL 2023 points table with six victories in 12 outings.

Both the franchises are studded with top-drawer players in their arsenal and an exciting contest appears to be on the cards. As Sunrisers host Faf du Plessis & Co. on Thursday, let us look at the players who might attract a lot of eyeballs in the upcoming encounter.

Here are the top 3 Players to watch out for in SRH vs RCB clash

3. Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj has been a proven performer in the cash-rich league. He has rattled batters with his swing and wreaked havoc with the ball. The 29-year-old has featured in 77 matches in the marquee event and bagged 75 wickets at an economy of 8.62.

Siraj has been magnificent with the ball in the ongoing edition of the T20 extravaganza. The Hyderabad-born has represented Royal Challengers Bangalore on 12 occasions and taken 16 wickets at an economy of 7.79, which includes a four-wicket haul against Punjab Kings.

Siraj has been RCB’s tone-setter with the ball and has delivered the goods time and time again. Also, he has shown his bowling might in other phases of the innings too. The right-arm pacer would look to carry on good work for the Bangalore franchise in the forthcoming game and put up a show with the ball.

2. Heinrich Klaasen

Heinrich Klaasen has been a prominent figure in the shortest format of the game. He has obliterated bowlers with his marauding bat and piled on runs for fun. The wicketkeeper-batter has featured in 154 T20 games and aggregated 3201 runs at a strike rate of 142.58.

Klaasen has shown his class in the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League and has knocked the wind out of top-quality bowling attack. The Pretoria-born has played 10 matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad and plundered 326 runs at a stunning strike rate of 172.49.

In Hyderabad’s previous outing against Gujarat Titans, Klaasen played a blistering knock of 64 off 44, which consisted of four boundaries and three maximums. The team management would hope he plays in the same vein in the clash on Thursday.

1. Glenn Maxwell

Glenn Maxwell is a bankable name in the IPL arena. He has been a marauder with the bat and has decimated bowling units with his innovative stroke play. The ace batter has featured in 122 IPL games and amassed 2703 runs at an astonishing strike rate of 157.43. Moreover, he has been a canny customer with the ball and bagged 31 wickets for his side.

Maxwell has set the 16th edition of the lucrative T20 tournament on fire with his breathtaking performances. The flamboyant cricketer has played 12 matches for Royal Challengers Bangalore and hammered 384 runs at an eye-popping strike rate of 182.86, which comprises five half-centuries.

Maxwell was magnificent in the clash against Rajasthan Royals and blasted 54 runs off 33 deliveries. Also, he showed his prowess with the ball and took a prized wicket of Shimron Hetmyer. The Melbourne-born would look to put his best foot forward in the encounter against SRH.
