Star Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was seen engaging in an animated conversation with CEO Kasi Viswanathan. This comes after multiple reports surfacing on Jadeja’s rumoured rift with skipper MS Dhoni.
Notably, MS Dhoni-led CSK triumphed over the defending champions Gujarat Titans by 15 runs to book their spot in the IPL Final, slated to be played on Sunday, May 28. However, following the conclusion of the Qualifier 1, Jadeja was seen visibly dejected and later had a long discussion with CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan.
Meanwhile, Jadeja was awarded the ‘Upstox most valuable asset of the match’- an award that is given to the Most Valuable Player of the game. In the high-voltage contest, Jadeja returned impressive bowling figures as he gave mere 18 runs in his four overs and concluded with a stunning economy of 4.50 and two wickets to his name.
Later, he shared a picture of the award by taking a subtle dig at some of the fans, who, according to him, did not appreciate his efforts.
Speaking about his performances in the ongoing edition, Jadeja has relished a brilliant campaign with 19 wickets in 15 appearances at a solid average economy of 7.42. Furthermore, he has played quite a few invaluable knocks coming down the order, as he has collected 175 runs with a strike rate of 137.80.
CSK reach record 10th IPL Final
Following their win against the defending champions, the yellow outfit reached their record-extending 10th IPL final. MS Dhoni and Co. will aim to come to all guns blazing so as to add a fifth title to their illustrious cabinet on Sunday’s blockbuster finale.
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya and Co. will lock horns with the winners of the Eliminator in Qualifier 2 on Friday, May 26. The most decorated side, Mumbai Indians, will have their eyes on the prize but will need to obtain a favourable result in the Eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants in order to proceed in the title race.
