Chennai Super Kings (CSK), led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, clinched the record-equalling fifth title in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Monday, May 29. CSK defeated the Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans by five wickets in the final which was delayed due to rain, using the DLS method at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Notably, Ravindra Jedeja’s last-over (15th) heroics allowed CSK to win the championship title.

With CSK needing 10 off the final two deliveries, Jadeja hit a six on the penultimate delivery and a boundary in the final one to seal the victory for CSK. Following his match-winning effort, Jadeja shared a touching moment with CSK captain MS Dhoni. The former India skipper felt overwhelmed as he lifted Jadeja, which demonstrated their mutual admiration.

Earlier, visuals of heated talks between the two CSK stalwarts had sent supporters into a frenzy, which was exacerbated when Jadeja took to Twitter and posted a bizarre “Karma” tweet. However, the star all-rounder has now firmly put an end to all rumors with an act on social media. Using a creative from CricTracker, Jadeja updated the DP of his official Instagram handle, showing a one-of-a-kind gesture by the legendary captain after the title win.

Notably, after guiding CSK to win the title, Jadeja dedicated the win to his captain, stating “We did it for ONE and ONLY “MS DHONI mahi bhai aapke liye toh kuch bhi.”
