Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) clash against each other in match No. 65 of IPL 2023 on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Both sides will meet for the first and only time in the league stage of the ongoing season.

Speaking about form, it has been another disastrous campaign for the Orange Army. After having finished eighth in the points table in the 2022 edition, Aiden Markram’s SRH became the second team after Delhi Capitals (DC) to get eliminated from the current edition. They have played 12 matches with just four victories and eight defeats.

With eight points and a net run rate of -0.575, they are placed just above DC in the ninth spot in the table. RCB have had a mixed tournament so far, as they have played 12 games with six wins and as many losses. They are placed in the fifth position with 12 points and an NRR of +0.166. The Royal Challengers have a realistic chance of making it to the playoffs if they win their remaining two encounters. Though, they have a dismal record of just one win in seven outings in Hyderabad in the league.
