Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will square off against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 49th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Saturday, May 6 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk. Mumbai are heading into the clash high in confidence, having aced two high-scoring run chases.

Rohit Sharma has been a giant of a player in the cash-rich league. He has featured in 236 IPL games and amassed 6063 runs at a strike rate of 129.88. Also, the veteran batter has been a brilliant reader of the game and marshalled Mumbai Indians to five title triumphs.

Besides Suryakumar, MI have Tilak Varma, Tim David and Nehal Wadhera at their disposal. Tilak has been magnificent with the bat and smashed 274 runs in nine outings in IPL 2023 at a superb strike rate of 158.38. Given the kind of form he is in, the youngster could stake a claim to win the ‘Emerging Player of the Season’.
Coming to David, the Singapore-born has been a marauder with the bat and has decimated top-quality bowlers with his power-hitting might. Coming to Nehal, he has taken the attack to the opposition right from the get-go and played crucial knocks for the Mumbai franchise.

Cameron Green is one of the top-quality all-rounders in the Australian cricketing circles. He has scored 302 runs in 15 ODIs and bagged 11 wickets at an economy of 5.02. In the T20Is, the 23-year-old has smashed 139 runs in eight T20Is and picked up five wickets at an economy of 8.90.
Green has taken the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League by storm with his breathtaking performances. He has featured in nine games and racked up 266 runs at an exceptional strike rate of 150.28. Also, the flamboyant cricketer has taken five wickets in those outings.
Green has been in a rich vein of form and he would be eager to knock the wind out of the opposition bowlers with the swashbuckling stroke play in the forthcoming encounter. Also, he would be entrusted to chip in with timely breakthroughs and the ace all-rounder would look to deliver the goods with the ball.

Mumbai have the services of Piyush Chawla and Kumar Kartikeya in the spin-bowling department. Piyush has bamboozled batters with his variations in the 16th IPL edition and wreaked havoc with the ball. He has featured in nine matches and bagged 15 wickets at an economy of 7.28.
Coming to Kartikeya, he has been a good foil to Piyush and has done a decent job of keeping the run rate in check. He has featured in four matches and taken two wickets at an economy of 7.76. The 25-year-old would look to be at his best in the clash on Saturday.
In the fast-bowling front, Mumbai have Jofra Archer and Arshad Khan in the mix. Jofra is known to unsettle batters with his fiery pace and provide wickets in heaps. Talking about Arshad, he has the ability to make the ball talk at the start of the innings and provide scalps at regular intervals.
