IPL 2023 Match 38, PBKS vs LSG Stats Preview: Players records and approaching milestones

Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) square off against each other in Match 38 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Friday, April 28 at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. The Kings beat the Super Giants by a margin of two wickets when both sides met earlier in the competition in the reverse fixture in Lucknow.

PBKS have made a decent start to their current season as they have played seven matches so far with four victories and three defeats. With eight points and a net run rate of -0.162, they are placed in the sixth position in the table. Notably, the Kings have played their last few games without their captain, Shikhar Dhawan, who is injured. All-rounder and big-money signing Sam Curran has donned the captaincy hat in the absence of their regular leader.

On the other hand, LSG has also made a similar start to their campaign with four wins and three losses in seven outings. They are placed in the fourth spot with eight points and an NRR of +0.547. (All standings till Match No. 36). Both teams will look to claim their fifth victory and move up in the table as they begin their second half of the season.
