Rohit Sharma is one of the finest batters that Indian cricket has produced. He has obliterated bowling attacks with his marauding bat and established his supremacy in the Indian Premier League. Also, the 35-year-old has been a brilliant reader of the game and has led Mumbai Indians to five title triumphs.
However, Rohit was a pale shadow of his classic self in the clash against Bangalore and managed to score just a run off 10 deliveries. The veteran batter would look to vindicate himself in the encounter on Saturday and put up a show with the bat.
Coming to Rohit’s opening partner Ishan Kishan, the 24-year-old is known for playing a fearless brand of cricket and has displayed the ability to take down even the best of bowlers with his flamboyant stroke play. The team management would hope the Southpaw displays his batting prowess against Chennai Super Kings and help Mumbai open their account on the IPL 2023 points table.
Middle Order: Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Tim David, Nehal Wadhera

Mumbai Indians have Suryakumar Yadav at their disposal. The ace batter has decimated bowlers with his innovative stroke play and made the T20 circuit his happy hunting ground. He has featured in 124 IPL matches and plundered 2659 runs at a strike rate of 136.43.
Mumbai also possess Tilak Varma in the middle order. The Southpaw was quite phenomenal in the clash against RCB and blasted 84* runs off 46 deliveries to take his team to a competitive total. The 20-year-old is in pristine touch and could wreak havoc with the bat in the upcoming game.
Moroever, the five-time IPL champions have Tim David and Nehal Wadhera in the mix. David is a marauder with the bat and can destroy bowling attacks with his power-hitting might. Talking about Nehal, the youngster showed glimpses of brilliance in the match against Faf du Plessis & Co. and hammered 21 runs off 13 balls. He would look to carry on the good work for Rohit & Co.
All-rounder: Cameron Green

Cameron Green is an up-and-coming talent from the Australian cricketing circles. Test cricket has been his stronger suit where the youngster has scored 941 runs in 20 matches at an average of 37.64. On the bowling front, he has bagged 23 wickets in those outings.
Green has shown his all round might in the T20Is too, smashing 139 runs in eight matches at a stunning strike rate of 173.75 and picking up five wickets for the national side. Mumbai liked what they saw in the 23-year-old and left no stone unturned in acquiring his services. Eventually, MI signed him for a staggering sum of INR 17.50 crore.
However, Green was far from his best in the clash against the Bangalore franchise. He could only manage five runs with the bat and leaked runs at an alarming rate of 15.00 with the ball. The Australian all-rounder would be eager to make amends and shine in the forthcoming game.
Bowlers: Piyush Chawla, Jofra Archer, Arshad Khan, Jason Behrendorff

Mumbai Indians have the services of Piyush Chawla in the spin department. The 34-year-old has been a bankable name in the lucrative T20 tournament and bagged 157 wickets in 166 matches at an economy of 7.87. The ace spinner has proved his mettle in the past and would be eager to weave his magic in IPL 2023.
On the fast-bowling front, Mumbai have Jofra Archer, Arshad Khan, and Jason Behrendorff in their repertoire. Archer has been a proven performer in the T20 circuit and has taken 167 wickets in 131 matches at an economy of 7.64. He would look to set the 16th edition of the cash-rich league ablaze with his bowling displays. The speedster could also stake a claim to win the Purple Cap of the season.
Talking about Arshad, the left-arm pacer has the ability to make the ball talk at the start of the innings and would look to impress with his outings in the marquee event. Coming to Behrendorff, the Australian pacer is known to rattle batters with his swing and can wreak havoc with the ball. He would be entrusted to provide Mumbai with early breakthroughs in the upcoming clash.
