Chennai Super Kings players were seen enjoying an indoor games session ahead of their high-profile clash against five-time champions Mumbai Indians at the Chepauk. Chennai’s iconic skipper MS Dhoni was seen indulging in some table tennis action in a video shared by CSK’s official social media handles.
The Yellow Army, who defeated their arch-rivals Mumbai Indians in a one-sided contest at the Wankhede earlier this year, seemed pretty relaxed ahead of their second meeting this season. The trio of Ravindra Jadeja, Tushar Deshpande and Akash Singh were seen enjoying their time playing mini-golf.
Meanwhile, former Indian skipper MS Dhoni paired up with veteran cricketer Ambati Rayudu in a high-octane game of table tennis. After exchanging a few rallies, the veteran cricketer gave his paddle to dashing all-rounder Shivam Dube. Young Indian pacer Rajvardhan Hangargekar was seen enjoying a game of foosball with his teammates.
Chennai Super Kings gears up for high-octane clash against arch-rivals Mumbai Indians
The four-time champions, who have bounced back in style this season after a forgettable IPL 2022 campaign, have lost a bit of momentum heading into the crucial game against rivals Mumbai Indians. MS Dhoni’s men have lost two of their last three matches, with their last encounter against Lucknow Super Giants being washed away due to rain.
Meanwhile, their upcoming opponents, Mumbai Indians, have built a nice head of steam with two consecutive run chases in excess of 200 runs. Despite skipper Rohit Sharma’s lean run with the bat, the Mumbai-based outfit are not short of runs and will pose a great threat to Chennai’s young bowling attack, especially the pacers.
