IPL 2023: Arjun Tendulkar bitten by dog, reveals incident during meet-up with LSG’s Yudhvir Singh

Mumbai Indians’ young and upcoming fast bowler Arjun Tendulkar caught the eye of the world after a string of impressive performances with the ball earlier in the tournament. However, the left-arm pacer revealed being bitten by a dog just a day ahead of his side’s encounter against Lucknow Super Giants. 

Arjun Tendulkar made his much anticipated IPL debut in the 16th edition of the tournament after taking the new ball against two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede last month. Even though he did not manage to scalp a wicket in that contest, he showed glimpses of his ability, restricting the batters to low-scoring shots in a run-fest.

However, his wait for a maiden IPL wicket ended in his very next outing against Sunrisers Hyderabad when he got rid of Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the second innings. The 23-year-old talented all-rounder has not featured for the side since his outing against the defending champions on April 25. Ahead of his side’s crucial encounter against Lucknow Super Giants, Arjun revealed being bitten by a dog while catching up with his friends Mohsin Khan and Yudhvir Singh.

The left-arm pacer revealed the incident after LSG pacer Yudhvir Singh asked about his well-being. Meanwhile, Mohsin congratulated his compatriot for making his debut this season. Mumbai Indians have struggled in their bowling department this season, with Jofra Archer’s latest injury concern compounding the matters for the five-time champions.

Coming to the upcoming match, Mumbai might include Arjun in the eleven as they are likely to go with an extra bowler, given the sluggish nature of the surface in Lucknow. It is a pivotal encounter for both involved parties as a win for either side will see them make giant striders towards securing a playoff spot in the ongoing edition of the IPL.
