The glittering sangeet ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Mumbai on Friday night turned into a celebration of India’s recent T20 World Cup 2024 victory. Cricket stars Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Suryakumar Yadav, fresh from their triumph, received a grand welcome at the star-studded event.

The Sangeet function, part of the pre-wedding festivities for Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s son Anant with Radhika Merchant. The wedding is reportedly set to take place at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai on July 12. The event brought together celebrities from various fields, including Bollywood, sports, and business.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the special reception given to the cricketing heroes. Sharma, Pandya, and Yadav, key players in India’s T20 World Cup 2024 winning team, were called upon the stage to thunderous applause. The other guests gave them a standing ovation, acknowledging their remarkable achievement in bringing the coveted trophy back home.

Mukesh, Nita, and Aakash Ambani personally congratulated the players, embracing them warmly on stage. All three cricketers are part of the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL), owned by Aakash and Nita Ambani. Each player had made significant contributions to India’s World Cup victory. Yadav scored 199 runs in eight games, with two half-centuries.

Pandya showed his all-round skills, scoring 144 runs at a strike rate over 150 and taking 11 crucial wickets, including game-changing dismissals in the final. His performances even propelled him to the No. 1 spot in the ICC T20I all-rounder rankings.

The event also saw other cricket stars in attendance, including Krunal Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul and MS Dhoni. Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan shared a warm moment with Rohit Sharma, later posting on social media about the Indian captain’s humility and passion.
