India continued to hammer Bangladesh, securing a huge 86-run win in the second T20I in Delhi. The home team also sealed the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh 2-0 with a match to go.

India was put in to bat but did not get off to the best of starts having lost three wickets in the powerplay. The youngsters Nitish Kumar Reddy (74 off 34) and Rinku Singh (53 off 29) fought back with a 108-run partnership to firmly put the match in India’s favor. Hardik Pandya (32 off 19) made another swift contribution near the end, but a flurry of wickets at the death overs, including three in the last over kept India’s score to 221/9. Taskin Ahmed (2 for 16) was the pick of the bowlers being the only one to go below nine runs an over.

Bangladesh too started poorly with the bat, losing three wickets in the powerplay, and could not find it in themselves to stage a fightback. Mahmudullah (41 off 39) was the only batter who could survive a barrage from the Indian bowlers. While Varun Chakravarthy (2 for 19) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (2 for 23) were the best performers, each of the seven bowlers that India employed managed to pick up a wicket. India then completed an 86-run win by restricting Bangladesh to 135/9.
