Major Indian Tier 2 cities are reported to host the limited overs series between the Men in Blue and South Africa in late 2025. Ranchi, Raipur, Vizag, Cuttack, Nagpur, Dharamshala, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad could be the leading contenders to host these matches. India are all set to host South Africa in a limited overs series of 3 ODIs and T20Is.

According to the reports, the tour could start with three-match ODI series. The first of them could take place on the November 30 in Ranchi. The second ODI of the series could take place on the December 03 in Raipur, with the ODI leg expected to culminate in Vizag on December 06.

There could likely be a gap of two days between the end of the ODI series and the start of the T20I series. All the scheduled matches are reportedly a part of the long home leg ahead of the big ICC tournaments like the T20 World Cup 2026 and the ODI World Cup 2027.

The 20-over phase of the series might take place from December 9 to 19. The first of these T20Is might take place in Cuttack on December 9. Two days later, the second T20I of the series could take place in Nagpur. On December 14, the third T20I could take place at the iconic stadium in Dharamshala.

The fourth T20I might take place on the 17th of December in Lucknow. The fifth and the final T20I of the series could take place in the largest stadium in the world, Ahmedabad’s gigantic Narendra Modi Stadium. The final venues and the dates for the tour are expected to be officially revealed in near future.

The series will be important for both India and South Africa. Both the teams have made it to the Knockouts of all Limited Overs ICC tournaments from 2023. The two world-class teams can help each other by taking part in the series, which could help in their preparations for the T20 WC 2026 and the ODI WC 2027.
