The Men’s Selection Committee on Sunday added Washington Sundar to India’s squad for the remainder of the Test series against New Zealand.
Washington Sundar will link-up with the squad in Pune ahead of the second Test. The inclusion of the cricketer comes right after his scintillating ton against Delhi in the second round of Ranji Trophy 2024-25 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi.
Meanwhile, for New Zealand, star experienced batter Kane Williamson is expected to take part in the Pune Test since he is expected to be fit for the encounter. It is noteworthy to mention that Williamson was a part of the squad for the first Test but did not travel with the squad to Bengaluru, and arrived in India later. His inclusion is surely going to boost the confidence of the BlackCaps’ who are already 1-0 up in the three-match series.
