IND vs ENG 3rd Test Day 1 Highlights: Unmissable video recap, turning points, match analysis, stats and more

India finished Day 1 of the third Test against England on 326/5 at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot. After opting to bat first, the hosts were left reeling at 33/3 in 8.5 overs as Mark Wood got rid of Yashasvi Jaiswal (10 off 10) and Shubman Gill (0 off 9) with the new ball. Rajat Patidar also fell prey to Tom Hartley leaving India in all sorts of trouble in the first session.

However, captain Rohit Sharma (131 off 196) and Ravindra Jadeja (110* off 212) bailed their team out of trouble with their massive 204-run stand for the fourth wicket. Debutant Sarfaraz Khan finally got his much-needed opportunity and made it count with a brilliant 62 (66) laced with nine fours and a six. India finished on 326/5 with Jadeja 110* (212) and Kuldeep Yadav 1* (10) at the crease.
