The cricketing world was treated to a fascinating sight during Team India’s thrilling ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh at the MCA Stadium in Pune. The 24-year-old star batter, Shubman Gill, took the field sporting a gold-coloured coin on his collar.
Gill, the talented right-handed batter, embarked on India’s chase of 257 with Captain Rohit Sharma. Together, they stitched an impressive partnership of 88 runs before Sharma’s departure. Gill, riding on a wave of excellent form, continued to impress, reaching his maiden half-century in the ODI World Cup. His 53 off 55 balls showcased his class before a catch near the boundary sent him back to the pavilion.
