IND vs BAN 2024: Bangladesh name 16-member squad for Test series

Ahead of the much-anticipated tour to India, Bangladesh have named their 16-member squad for the two-match Test series on the morning of Thursday, September 12. Seniors like Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shakib Al Hasan, and Mushfiqur Rahim have retained their place in the squad, whereas, Nayeem Hasan and Nahid Rana are the relatively younger inclusions. Notably, Bangladesh will arrive in the neighborhood land on September 15, which is four days ahead of the first game, slated at the storied MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Hosts India, on the other hand, are slated to arrive in Chennai by Thursday evening, and thus, will get at least three extra days in the host city to get used to the conditions. India have already named their 15-member squad, a day after the end of Duleep Trophy first round.
