The 16-member Bangladesh squad, which was released in an official press release by the Bangladesh Cricket Board three days back, are all set to make their way to Chennai which will be hosting the first Test between India and Bangladesh from September 19, 2024.
In a post by the official account of the BCB, a collage of a list of players was made, which could be seen with their respective trolleys and luggage at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
Skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto and ace batter Litton Das, wearing the brown-colored traveling polo t-shirt like others, were snapped in a deep conversation. The two players are going to be the keys to Bangladesh’s success on the Indian tour.
“Off to India! The Bangladesh team departs for their upcoming Test and T20i series,” Bangladesh Cricket captioned their X (formerly known as Twitter) post.

Shanto & Co. riding high on confidence
Coming off a historic first-ever Test series victory against Pakistan last month, the visitors will be buoyed with their performance. This will certainly help them to be confident from the outset during their games against a much stronger Indian outfit.
Skipper Shanto had recently come out to the press and stated that if they put on a show as clinical as the one they imposed against Pakistan, they would most definitely prove to be a potent threat to any opposition that comes against them.
