Ajit Agarkar has been appointed as the new chief selector of the Indian men’s cricket team, almost four months after Chetan Sharma’s departure following a shocking TV sting operation. This selection is significant as Agarkar is only the second player from the Indian Premier League to become the chief selector. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) appointed Agarkar as the chief selector for the national men’s cricket team following the recommendation of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC).
