Hard to sum up what we’ve been through: Rohit Sharma

The Indian team defeated South Africa in the T20 World Cup final to win the title. At one point, the game looked to be in the favour of the Proteas, with Heinrich Klaasen’s onslaught. However, a tactical masterclass by Rohit and co., along with exceptional bowling, saw India clinch the game by seven runs and win the tournament.

After the game, Rohit Sharma took to the post-match presentation ceremony and expressed his thoughts about what his side has been through the last few years. After losing several finals, the Men in Blue have finally reached the summit and registered themselves as world champions.

“Hard to sum up what we’ve been through in last three-four years. A lot behind the scenes, not what we did today, it’s what we did before. A lot of high-pressure games, and we’ve been on the wrong side of it. Guys understand when the pressure is on what needs to be done, today was perfect example, stuck together with backs to the wall,” Rohit said.
