Desert Vipers (DV) will be taking on Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ADKR) in Match 2 of ILT20 2025. While ADKR finished fourth after losing the eliminator, the Vipers finished last in the six-team tournament in 2024. Both teams will look to make some changes in their fortunes.
Desert Vipers have tried to mitigate their bad luck by nominating Lockie Ferguson as their skipper for this season while both teams have made some powerful signings like AM Ghazanfar, Roston Chase and Gudakesh Motie for ADKR alongside Fakhar Zaman and Lockie Ferguson for the Vipers.
Vipers have retained some hard T20 hitters like Alex Hales, Wanindu Hasaranga, Sherfane Rutherford and Mohamad Amir. ADKR have also retained trusted players like Ali Khan, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell who have proved their worth for their sister franchises all over the world.
