Nimali Perera and Claire Polosak will umpire their first ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final as they take charge of South Africa v New Zealand on Sunday. Anna Harris will act as the third umpire, with Jacquline Williams serving as the fourth umpire. GS Lakshmi has been selected as the match referee for the final in Dubai.
Perera stood in the semi-final between Australia and South Africa earlier in the tournament, having also officiated last year’s semi-final between Australia and India.
Claire Polosak is a highly experienced umpire, with Sunday marking her 64th career women’s T20 international, and the 2024 final marks the first time she will oversee an ICC World Cup final.
Polosak was one of the on-field umpires during the 2023 edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup semi-finals in South Africa, as well as this year’s semi-final between West Indies and New Zealand in Sharjah.
The final will begin at 18h00 local time at Dubai International Stadium.

While New Zealand reached the final clash by defeating West Indies with eight runs, South African side marches into the ultimate clash while getting the better of Australia. South Africa ended the domination of Women in Yellow in the first semi-final while eyeing a chance to bring home the glory. The final clash is set for October 20 at Dubai International Stadium. It is worth noting that either of South Africa or New Zealand will be lifting the precious trophy for the first time in the history.
