Former national selector and ex-India cricketer Jatin Parnjape says Prithvi Shaw still has a chance of getting his career on the right track if prepares himself mentally and physically and says he is still one of the top three upcoming young talents in the Indian side. Some motivating words from one of the most experienced administrators in the Indian Cricket fraternity.
There have been many India U19 stars who have gone on to become big stars in international cricket, the names of Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal are some of the names that come to mind. However, another talented U-19 cricketer who was set to make an impact in international cricket is Prithvi Shaw who has been having a disappointing season so far.
Not only has Shaw lost his place in the Indian team and went unsold in the IPL auction but he has been giving underwhelming performances in the domestic circuit as well. There are even people saying that his career is slowly coming to a close.
Former national selector backs Shaw to come back
There have been plenty of experts who have given their opinion on Prithvi Shaw’s chances and one of them is the ex-India cricketer and former National selector Jatin Paranjape who had some motivational words for the young Indian batter in an article on Sportstar Hindu.

“Prithvi is in the top three talented young players in the country today. If we look at the ideal formula for a successful young cricketer, fitness is at par with skill. Young players like Tilak Verma and Jaiswal are fantastic athletes.”
Taking this information Paranjape has also talked about how Shaw can improve as a player, make a comeback in the game of cricket, and get back to his best. “If I were in his position, I would camp in Chennai with Ramji Srinivasan for 10 days and completely dedicate the next two or three years to this transformation. The results would begin to show in the next 45 to 60 days.” Parnjape added.
