Star Nepal cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane will be joining his side in the West Indies for the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 after he was unable to participate in the early stages of the tournament due to his US visa being rejected multiple times.

Nepal initially had plans to include Lamichhane in their squad for the World Cup, but despite desperate efforts to secure approval for his visa, Lamichhane was denied.

However, Lamichhane will finally be joining up with the squad, and he took to Instagram and posted an update on his situation. Expressing how excited he was to be in the West Indies.

“Namaste, Hello from West Indies! First of all, I would like to thank the Government of Nepal, the Foreign Ministry, the Sports Ministry, the National Sports Council(NSC), and the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) for their support to help me get the US visa but unfortunately it did not work out this time,” Lamichhane posted.

“But now through all of that aside, I am now joining the National Team for the last two matches in the West Indies and looking forward to fulfilling my dreams and the dream of all cricket lovers,” he added.
