India former cricketer and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar talked about Virat Kohli’s terrible form in Test cricket. It was a brutal assessment by the expert on the legendary batter who is facing a lot of problems in the longer format even on Friday as he gets out cheaply on Day 1 of the 2nd Test in Adelaide for just 7 runs.

The Indian top order has not made a great start in the pink ball Test in Adelaide by losing their top four in the first session itself at the score of 82 and struggling against the Aussie pace attack. It turns out that the Aussies have the upper hand and are looking good so far in their attempt to level the series after a disappointing loss in the first Test in Perth where the Indians got a dominant victory.

Manjrekar makes a brutal assessment

Though it was great to see Virat Kohli finally get a century in Perth, it seems like he has still not found the same consistency he had during his prime seeing how he was dismissed in the first session by edging a ball outside off stump to third slip of Mitchell Starc. Looking at his poor form former India cricketer and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar has made a brutal assessment of the 36-year-old world-class batter’s form.

The former India cricketer opined that Virat Kohli has a very unfortunate weakness outside off and that he should find a way to tackle it.

“ One important reason why Virat’s average has slipped to 48 now, is the unfortunate weakness outside off. But more crucially his adamance to not try another way to tackle it.” Manjrekar said on X(formerly known as Twitter).
