Star Australia batter and World champion Travis Head opened up on his on-field sledging incident with Mohammed Siraj during the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT 2024-25) in Adelaide. The players seem to call it a truce despite the ongoing drama during the whole match. For the unversed, the incident happened on Day 2 when after Siraj cleaned up Head with a searing yorker and in the process gave the centurion an angry send-off.
In the heat of the moment, the duo were seen exchanging some words. Notably, the pink-ball Test in Adelaide ended in favour of the Aussies who not only dominated the match but also levelled the ongoing Test series. One of the best performers for Australia was once again flamboyant middle-order batter Travis Head, who scored an incredible century.
As a result, the explosive southpaw was also adjudged the player of the match for his incredible innings. At one stage, Australia were slightly ahead of India’s score of 180 runs and the visitors were still relevant in the game. But Head’s counterattacking knock had put immense pressure on the Indian bowlers and completely took away the game away from the visitors.

Though we could not hear everything the players said it seemed like the two had called it a truce. Hearing these words Head also confirmed that the differences were resolved when Siraj and him had a conversation with him when he came out to bat.
“Sweet with it. He came out and just said [it was] a little bit of misunderstanding. I think we’ll move on. We’ve had a great week, so let’s not let it ruin it.” Head was quoted as saying by ABC News.
“ It was fine. He said, ‘Why’d you swear?’ I sort of said, ‘Look, I didn’t at first … [but] I definitely swore at you the second time round,” Head concluded.
