The Women’s Selection Committee on Thursday announced India’s squad for the upcoming multi-format series against South Africa.
India will be hosting the Proteas Women for an all-format series starting June 16, while the visiting team will also play a tour match on June 13. As usual, Harmanpreet Kaur will be leading the Indian contingent, while ace batter Smrit Mandhana will be acting as her deputy. The selection of star batter Jemimah Rodrigues and pacer Pooja Vastrakar is subject to their recovery from injury.

The assignment will begin with three One-Day Internationals. Notably, the entire 50-over affair is scheduled to be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru with the last one to be played on June 23.

The teams will then be travelling to Chennai, where the historic MA Chidambaram Stadium will be hosting the only Test followed by three 20-over games. Although Saika Ishaque has been announced as a part of the ODI and Test squads, she will be with the Women in Blue as standby for the T20Is.
