India women are all set to take on Ireland women in an upcoming three-game ODI series. Both sides will lock horns across three ODI matches on January 10, 12, and 15, respectively. It is worth noting that all the games of the series will be held at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, in Rajkot.

Ahead of the series, it was announced that India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur would not be a part of the ODI series. The star player had sustained a knee injury during the home series against the West Indies last month, forcing her to sit out of the last two T20Is before returning to play three ODIs.

Harmanpreet Kaur has been rested for the series against Ireland. As per Cricbuzz, she has been instructed to report to the NCA in Bengaluru. Furthermore, apart from Harmanpreet, Renuka Singh Thakur has been rested for the Ireland series as well. It is worth noting that the series will be a part of the 2022-2025 future tours program and will be Ireland’s first-ever bilateral tour of India.

Quite interestingly, on the other hand, Ireland Women have lost all 12 ODIs that they have played against India women so far and will hope to break their jinx. Smriti Mandhana will be leading India women in the upcoming series against Ireland. Deepti Sharma will be the vice-captain in the series, the squad will see the likes of Pratika Rawal, Uma Chetry, Jemimah Rodrigues, and many more stars on the side.

With the first ODI scheduled for January 10, India women will hope to keep their unbeaten streak against Ireland and register yet another win.
