Hardik Pandya was one of the hottest talking prospects ahead of the clash between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans. A viral video of the Mumbai Indians skipper saw him getting ignored by the dog who intruded on to the field during the first innings. During the 11th over, Pandya came on to bowl his third over and the intruding dog came near him but as soon as he saw Pandya, he ran away from him.

The video of the same instantly viral across social media platforms, and as usual the video received mixed opinions from the people. Netizens gave their take on the moment, and hilariously compared the situation to the condition of the Mumbai Indians camp after the return of Hardik.

The fans on social media were quick in noticing the dog’s actions towards Hardik Pandya. People believed that even the dog had ignored Hardik when he tried to invite to play with him.

The homecoming of Hardik as the new MI skipper has not been the greatest one thus far. In the three overs he bowled, the Baroda-born conceded 30 runs at an economy of 10 per over. He was electric in the field, and some of his captaincy calls were on point in the first innings.

The skipper used Jasprit Bumrah very efficiently, as the pacer took three crucial wickets and just gave away 14 runs in his four overs. The variations that the local boy used were sublime, and the yorker delivery was one of his most used deliveries versus hosts.

Motera crowd boos Hardik Pandya at toss

When Hardik Pandya came out for the toss for the first time as Mumbai Indians’ skipper, the fans expressed their disappointment with the decision of the franchise. The fans at Hardik’s ex-home ground were heard booing the opposition skipper as he won the toss and was seen speaking to Ravi Shastri.

Interestingly, cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra had earlier suggested that the Ahmedabad crowd should mock the former skipper upon his arrival at the Narendra Modi Stadium. His expertise might have been heard by the fans who attended the match today, and Hardik might not be the most loved player in the field today.
