Australia cricketer Glenn Maxwell’s spouse Vini Raman took to her social media handle to share glimpses of her traditional Tamil baby shower ceremony. Notably, the star couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in 2022 and announced their first pregnancy in May 2023.
Vini Raman, Maxwell’s wife, posted a few pictures on her Instagram handle on the traditional Tamil baby shower ceremony called ‘Valaikaappu’. “Blessing baby Maxwell the traditional way #valaikappuceremony #bangleceremony,” captioned Vini Raman on her Instagram handle.
The power couple exchanged varmalas in March 18, 2022, in accordance with Indian customs at their all-Tamil wedding, even though they exchanged their wedding vows in Australia. The couple also had a Christian wedding, and both of them posted images on social media to commemorate the event.

Speaking about Maxwell, the Aussie batter endured an underwhelming campaign in the recently concluded Vitality Blast 2023. Maxwell could only manage to score 248 runs in 14 appearances at a dismal average of 17.71, failing to score a single fifty throughout his campaign with Birmingham.
Ahead of the much-awaited ‘The Hundred’, Maxwell decided to opt out of the competition citing workload management. Cricket Australia released a statement on the regard and cited the 2023 ODI World Cup for players to be fresh for the mega ICC event.
Likewise, Mitchell Marsh pulled out from the event which now leaves the London Spirit chasing two replacement players for The Hundred. The competition will begin on Tuesday, August 1 and the summit clash will be played at the Lord’s Cricket Ground on Sunday, August 27.
Meanwhile, Australia will begin their preparations for the crucial World Cup which will commence on October 5 in India. The Aussies will kickstart their campaign against hosts team India at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, October 8. The selection committee is likely to release the squad for the global ICC event a month prior to the competition.
