Team India back in action against West Indies

Speaking about the national team, the Men in Blue are all set to get back in action following their rare month-long break after their loss against Australia in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2021-23 final. The Rohit Sharma-led side will tour West Indies in a multi-format series scheduled to kickstart on July 12.

The two sides will lock horns in two Tests which marks team India’s first series in the WTC 2023-25 cycle. Following the conclusion of the two Test matches, the two teams will engage in a three-match ODI series followed by a five-match T20I series.

Team India will look to obtain a core setup just in time for the eagerly-anticipated ODI World Cup. On the other hand, the West Indies are one step away from getting eliminated from obtaining a berth in the marquee ODI event, considering their dismal results in the World Cup Qualifiers. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka are the favourites to stamp their tickets to feature in the ODI World Cup in India during October-November.
