His performances have seen him become the fifth highest wicket-taker of the year in international cricket. Ever since his debut for the Men in Green, Shaheen Afridi has established himself as one of the best pacers in international cricket, and with some excellent performances in his kitty, Afridi will be hoping for an even better 2025. With a brilliant year behind him statistically, Matt Henry has been a star performer for the Black Caps in 2024. With 59 wickets in 25 innings throughout the year, Henry has more than deserved his place on the list.
Overcoming every odd, Matt Henry has managed to become a core member of New Zealand’s lineup. It is worth noting that in the 132 matches that Henry has played throughout his career across formats, the star pacer has taken 287 wickets to his name and has shown a lot of promise. At the age of 33, Henry will hope that 2025 will be an even better year for him and the BlackCaps as well.

Bangladesh’s Taskin Ahmed and the West Indies’s Alzarri Joseph have had a similar campaign in 2024. Both players have had a brilliant year, and despite their side’s shortcomings in 2024, they have had a successful year personally. It is worth noting that Taskin Ahmed played 34 innings in the year and took a total of 63 wickets to his name. With 167 matches played across formats for Bangladesh so far, Taskin Ahmed has taken a total of 240 wickets to his name and has been a star performer for Bangladesh.
