For every cricketer representing their country, winning matches, and triumphing in ICC tournaments epitomizes the pinnacle of achievement. It is the culmination of years of dedication, hardwork, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

Speaking on the RCB Insider podcast, the Indian and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s pace bowler Mohammed Siraj spoke about his aspirations ahead of the forthcoming T20 World Cup, which will be played in the Caribbean and the USA next month. He also talked about his Instagram posts and childhood, among other things.

After welcoming the star bowler to the show and congratulating him for getting shotlisted in the provisional 15-member squad, the host Mr. Nags questioned how Siraj felt about representing the nation at an event as prestigious and esteemed as the World Cup.

In response, Siraj exclaimed that it is every player’s dream to represent their nation at the highest level, as well as him waking up every day and reminding himself of his primary target, which is to perform at the most optimal level at the World Cup. He also expressed that he manifests lifting the World Cup trophy every morning, and that he wouldn’t be more overjoyed and content with himself if that happens in the mega-event to follow in a few months.

Talking about Siraj’s IPL 2024 journey so far, the Hyderabadi has not been able to perform to his best. He has taken only eight wickets from 10 matches at an average of 44 and economy rate of 9.26. Nevertheless, he gave a Player of the Match performance in the last match, scalping two wickets for 29 runs in his four overs. RCB would hope he carries on with the same form in the next matches.
