Estonia are well engaged with their six-game T20I series against Cyprus. Both sides recently locked horns in the second T20I of the series at the Happy Valley Ground on Monday, June 17. The clash quickly became one of the most talked-about matches across the globe due to the performance of Estonia’s Sahil Chauhan.
Cyprus came into bat first in the second T20I and managed to post a total of 191 runs on the board in the first innings. Attempting to chase down the target, Estonia got off to a subpar start as the top-order failed to go big. However, it was the knock of Sahil Chauhan that propelled the side.
Chauhan put in an excellent performance and broke the record for the fastest T20 ton, breaking the record of the likes of Chris Gayle and Jan Nicol-Lofie Eaton from Namibia. Chauhan scored his ton in just 27 balls, and ended his knock after scoring 144 runs in 41 deliveries, winning the game by six wickets.
