The Pat Cummins-led defending champions Australia after leading the series 2-0 in the Ashes 2023 will now face England their Arch Rivals for the third time in the five-match series at the Headingley in Leeds on July 6, 2023.

Australia will be coming into the contest, after a 43-run win over the Bazballers-England in the second game at the home of cricket Lord’s in London. Steven Smith was the star for Australia in the first innings, as he registered his 32nd Test century and also completed his 9000 runs in Test cricket. While he was ably supported by a well-made half century from David Warner and a counter-attacking 77 runs off 73 balls from Travis Head.

In the second innings, it was all about Usman Khawaja, registering his third 50+ score in the Ashes 2023. Mitchell Starc was the go-to bowler for them as he picked up three wickets in both innings, while Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood too picked up three wickets each in the second innings. Australia will look to continue their dominance in the third Test.

England, on the other hand, will be coming into the contest on the back of two successive home losses. Ben Duckett was the go-to batter for England as he registered fifties in both innings, while Ben Stokes smacked 155 runs in the second innings that included 18 boundaries, his knock went in vain as Australia thumped England by 43 runs. Australia will be missing the service of Nathan Lyon in the next game, while England will miss the service of Ollie Pope.
