Day 2 of game 4 of the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024 saw India C take more control over the game. Day 1 of the clash ended with India C posting a total of 357 runs, having lost five wickets in the process. The first day was filled with excellent batting performances. Ishan Kishan scored 111 runs off 126 deliveries, and Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 46* runs on day 1, with Baba Indrajith adding 78 runs on the board.

As Day 2 rolled around, skipper Gaikwad completed his half-century and was sent packing to the pavilion after a score of 58 runs in 74 deliveries. Furthermore, Manav Suthar played a brilliant knock in the lower middle order, scoring 82 runs in 156 deliveries.

After an innings filled with excellent batting performances, India C posted a total of 525 runs in the first innings of the game. As for India B, Mukesh Kumar and Rahul Chahar were the highest wicket-takers for their side in the first innings, with four wickets each to their name. Navdeep Saini and Nitish Kumar Reddy took one wicket each as well.

Coming into bat in the first innings, India B put in their best effort to minimize the trail. The side opened with Abhimanyu Easwaran and Narayan Jagadeesan putting in an excellent effort and scoring 51* and 67* runs to close out the day.

Without losing a single wicket, India B posted a total of 124 runs as Stumps were called on Day 2. India C used five of their bowlers throughout the day, but none of them succeeded in taking a wicket.

Manav Suthar bowled 10 overs where he conceded 34 runs; Vijaykumar Vyshak conceded 29 runs in the 10 overs he bowled as well. With the third day approaching, India C still leads their opponent by 401 runs and will hope to take some wickets on Saturday.
