‘Doubters can rest in peace’ – Ajay Jadeja hits back at Virat Kohli’s critics ahead of Adelaide Test

The first Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 was dominated by the Indian team. After a shaky performance with the bat in the first innings, India followed it up with an exceptional display in the second innings. After Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul laid a strong foundation with mammoth knocks, ace batter Virat Kohli managed to complete his century as well.

It is worth noting that ahead of the series, there were many questions about Kohli’s form in recent times, but a ton in Perth seems to have kept the critics quiet. Talking about his performance and the criticism that he has faced in recent times, former India cricketer Ajay Jadeja took centre stage and backed Kohli to perform even better.

“Doubters can rest in peace… The name itself says it all. If there were doubters, they can rest in peace. Geniuses aren’t born overnight,” Ajay Jadeja said.
