The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is scheduled to begin on March 31, and fans are excited as they wait to see their favourite players go up against one another in the biggest T20 league in the world.
As the preparations for the tournament are in full flow, many would opine that Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings would have the best chances at winning the title this time, as both teams are two of the most successful franchises in the competition.
However, former Indian pacer Sreesanth had a different opinion, as he recently came forward to discuss various teams’ chances at the upcoming IPL. He opined that CSK cannot win the IPL this year, and he backs Royal Challengers Bangalore to go all the way.
Sreesanth also talked about how he will support Sanju Samson and Rajasthan Royals but will be delighted if Virat Kohli gets to lift the title. He also reflected on how the tournament could become even more interesting if a team that hasn’t previously won the title went all the way.
“Don’t think CSK can win; I want RCB to win so that Virat Kohli can lift the title,” Sreesanth said in a video.
