Delhi Capitals will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 50th match of the IPL 2023 on May 6, Saturday in the second game of the double header. RCB emerged victorious by 23 runs when the two sides last met. Despite Manish Pandey scoring a half-century, DC could only reach 151/9 in overs while chasing a total of 175 runs as Vyshak Vijay Kumar and Mohammed Siraj stood out with the ball for RCB.

Initially, Virat Kohli’s innings of 50 runs off 34 balls enabled RCB score 174/6 in 20 overs. For DC, Kuldeep Yadav and Mitchell Marsh both claimed two wickets. The ongoing dispute between Kohli and DC’s director of cricket Sourav Ganguly also got worse throughout the game.

In the 18th over of DC’s chase, Ganguly, who was in his team’s dugout, was given the death stare by Kohli and later Ganguly did not shake hands with Kohli after the game as is customary. Noting the feud between the two, former cricketer S Sreesanth believes that the upcoming contest will be an interesting one when Kohli and Ganguly face each other, again.

“This match will be interesting as it will be Virat vs Dada. The match looks good in which there is a little excitement inside the field and a little outside the field. Looking at the kind of relationship Virat and Sourav share, a lot is seen during this match and then such matches motivate the players to give their best”, Sreesanth said in a video shared by Star Sports.

Kohli was recently involved in a tussle with Naveen-ul-Haq and Gautam Gambhir when RCB squared off against the Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Stadium earlier this week. RCB managed to bag a magnificent win as they restricted LSG from chasing a paltry target of 127 and won the game by a margin of 18 runs. After an on-field spat between Kohli and Naveen, the former India skipper was involved in a heated argument with Gambhir.

Things did not end well for either parties as Kohli and Gambhir were fined 100% of their match fees, while Naveen was fined 50% of his match fee. Virat stepped down as India’s captain when Ganguly was the BCCI president and duo don’t see eye to eye.
