The social media fraternity was on the moon on Saturday, December 26. It could not have been any better for the Indian cricket lovers as the “Boxing Day” special Test continued in Melbourne between Australia and India. When Team India were in dire straits, Day 3 of the fourth Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT 2024-25) belonged to the duo of the rising all rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar. However, the pair scripted a sensational comeback with a record partnership, which saved the game for a possible result ahead.

In the same regard, Reddy garnered all the limelight after he slammed his maiden Test century to keep India at bay from the jaws of a mammoth first-innings deficit. As a result, several Indian cricketers along with the former England Captain Michael Vaughan were left in awe of Reddy’s valiant knock. Former India legend Sachin Tendulkar along with the likes of VVS Laxman, Shikhar Dhawan, Irfan Pathan, Hanuma Vihari and Suresh Raina joined the bandwagon to congratulate the youngster on this remarkable achievement.

Fascinatingly enough, on noticing the special half-century celebration of Nitish Reddy, the Team of the famous Pushpa 2 movie took to their social media handle to congratulate the Hyderabad-based all rounder.
