Social media domain was quite chirpy on Sunday, December 15, as several former cricketers reacted to Day 2 of the ongoing Brisbane Test being played as part of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT 2024-25). Notably, there were three standout performers on what turned out to be a blockbuster Sunday.
In the same regard, the former India all rounder Irfan Pathan lauded India’s premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah for single-handedly taking the load off the bowling unit and continuing his bowling supremacy by claiming another five-wicket haul in the Test series against Australia. The star of the Australian batting Travis Head pummelled other Indian bowlers to rack up a brilliant 152 runs to continue his sublime batting against India. However, this did not stop him from becoming yet another victim of Bumrah.
Besides, the former India spin legend, Harbhajan Singh lauded Head for his magnificent knock which helped Australia to get past the 400-run mark at Stumps on Day 2 at the iconic Gabba. Away from the cricketing action, former India all rounder Suresh Raina visited the Indian military in Jammu and Kashmir to promote cricket among youths. Another notable trend saw the former international cricketer turned commentator Isha Guha lauding Steve Smith a gritty hundred, which ended his lean patch Test cricket.
