In the second and final match of this IPL to be held at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium, Visakhapatnam, Delhi Capitals (DC) will host Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in match no. 16 of the ongoing seventeenth edition of the coveted tournament on Wednesday, April 03.
Delhi, having lost each of their first two games, came to Visakhapatnam needing something special against CSK and delivered it. DC got to 191 on the back of fifties by David Warner and Rishabh Pant and then never let CSK’s batting kick on until some valiant but ultimately unhelpful hitting by MS Dhoni (37 off 16) salvaged the win margin.
KKR were set a target of 182 by RCB at Bengaluru which, with the help of some incredible powerplay hitting, they chased in just 16.3 overs, but not before some incredible death bowling to restrict the RCB total when they looked set for more.

KKR will be looking to get to three wins from three games like RR just did and DC will take heart from the fact that CSK were unbeaten when they failed to chase the target set by DC.
Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium, Pitch Report
In the last game, the pitch looked batting friendly as DC posted 191. Expect the same for this game as well. While dew might still exist, the surface will provide enough for the batters to feast on.

DC vs KKR Strategies & Match-ups:
In this encounter defined by batting firepower, both teams will need to rely on their heavy hitters to deliver on this pitch and once again as a general pattern try to put a total out of the other team’s reach. The important match ups are: Shreyas Iyer vs Anrich Nortje, Kuldeep Yadav vs Andre Russell, Axar Patel vs Sunil Narine.
Player Battles to Watch Out For:
David Warner vs Sunil Narine:

Narine has bowled 123 balls to Warner so far in the IPL, across 16 innings, Warner has scored a whopping 195 runs with just two dismissals. This means that Warner averages 97.5 against Narine while striking at 158.83. DC will be hoping that if Narine bowls to Warner, the results wouldn’t deviate very much from the existing statistic.
Kuldeep Yadav vs Andre Russell:

Across 3 innings, Russell has faced just 10 deliveries from the wrist spinner while being dismissed once. But this encounter has resulted in just 4 runs. If Russell has to be stopped early, then Kuldeep Yadav becomes the weapon to do the killing for the Capitals.

X-Factors for DC vs KKR:
Delhi Capitals:
The man most in form for Rishabh Pant & Co. has been David Warner. And if Delhi need to have any chance considering the poor form of their other batters, Warner will have to go above and beyond the 52 he scored against CSK.
Kolkata Knight Riders:
While his services weren’t required in Bengaluru with the bat, it is not a very wise thing to count Andre Russell out in any discipline. He was a very big part of the reason KKR put up 208 against SRH, and his bowling made sure RCB didn’t get more than 182 in Bengaluru.
