Pakistan and South Africa are locking horns in Match 26 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Friday, October 27 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and elected to bat first, however, his decision wasn’t vindicated by his openers Abdullah Shafique (9 off 17) and Imam-ul-Haq who fell prey to Marco Jansen.
In-form batter Mohammad Rizwan walked to the crease at number 4 with Pakistan on 38/2. The wicketkeeper-batter survived on the first ball itself as Jansen failed to take a difficult catch off his own bowling. On the very next ball, Rizwan got an edge against the South African seamer which flew towards the third man for the boundary. As soon as the ball reached the fence the two players got involved in a verbal battle and Gerald Coetzee was seen running in to calm things down between the duo.

However, Rizwan couldn’t go big in his innings as he was dismissed for 31 (27) by Gerald Coetzee who made him edge on straight to wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock. Upon dismissing the Pakistan batter, Coetzee was seen charged up as he celebrated the dismissal aggressively.
